You’ve carried a lot—sometimes more than anyone realizes.
Maybe you’ve learned to push through anxiety, disconnection, or grief with quiet strength.
Maybe you’re parenting a neurodivergent child and constantly juggling advocacy, burnout, and love so deep it hurts.
You don’t have to hold it all by yourself anymore.
I’m Octavia Bartmess, a Diné trauma therapist-in-training and the national neurofeedback lead at NATIVation Counseling. I work with clients navigating anxiety, intergenerational trauma, identity wounds, and the emotional toll of caregiving and systemic harm.
I have a special interest in supporting parents of neurodivergent children—especially those feeling overwhelmed, unseen, or unsure how to care for their child and themselves. In our work together, I offer practical tools, nervous system support, and a deeply compassionate space to help you reconnect with your own strength and clarity.
My approach blends EMDR, neurofeedback, energy work, and Indigenous-informed practices to support healing across mind, body, and spirit. I’m currently completing my Master of Social Work (MSW) at Washington University in St. Louis, and bring a background in tech, advocacy, and cultural healing work into this practice.
Healing isn’t about doing more—it’s about coming home to yourself. And you don’t have to do it alone.
“Healing is not just for the individual—it is for our families, our communities, and the generations that come after us.”
